There isn't enough room in the jaw, so teeth overlap, twist, or get pushed out of line.

Extra space between teeth, either from teeth that are small for the jaw or a gap in the front.

A tooth comes in out of position — angled, rotated, or pushed toward the roof of the mouth.

The front teeth don't touch when the back teeth are closed, leaving a visible gap between them.

Posterior Crossbite
The upper back teeth close inside the lower ones instead of outside, so the bite meets unevenly on that side.
